Here are some frequently asked questions about IHDI’s Walk, Run & Wag 5K Run/Walk.
We know we cannot answer all of your questions here so feel free to give us a call or send us an email.

Do I have to run with a dog?
Of course not! We know not every dog likes to run and not everyone has a dog. With or without a dog, we’d love to have you running in our race!

Is the race professionally timed?
Yes! Our race was timed by 3W Races in its first two years. The race was timed both years using iPad timing with great results.

How many dogs can run with me?
As many as you feel you can handle. Our number one priority is safety. If you can’t safely run with them, please leave them at home. We do ask that all dogs be on leash with current vaccinations and be well behaved in public.

I don’t want to run. How can I get involved?
We always need plenty of volunteers to help with this event. If you’d like to get involved, call us at 303-287-3277 or email us at info@hearingdog.org.

Can I run and still see my child participate in the Fun Run?
Definitely. The race begins at 8:00 AM and the course is 3.1 miles long. With the Fun Run starting at 10:00 AM, you should have ample time to finish your run before the Fun Run starts.
